Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress, best known for her portrayal of Missandei on HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (HBO from 2011 to 19). Emmanuel was born in Southend-on-the-Sea a resort in Essex and was attracted to performing arts since an early age. Her mother quickly took notice, and when young Nathalie was just three, her parents enrolled her in performing, singing and dancing classes. Emmanuel was an accomplished actor who grew rapidly. By the end in the 1990s, she was a young Nala in "The Lion King,"" a West End musical that was a huge success. Emmanuel started auditioning as a young teenager for TV and film roles. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she got cast as Sasha Valentine, a British soap opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel played the character for four seasons, leaving the show in. Emmanuel got her first breakthrough on HBO "Game of Thrones" after three years, in the role of Missandei. This role is the interpreter of Daenerys' Targaryen persona (portrayed by Emilia Clarke).
